Frequently asked questions
Does minifying change the data?
No. Only whitespace outside strings is removed; values, order and nesting are untouched.
Why minify JSON?
Smaller config files, API payloads and fixtures. For transport, gzip usually matters more, but minification still helps.
Are my files or data uploaded?
No. The tool is plain JavaScript that runs in your browser; the files or data you provide here are never uploaded to our servers.
