About this tool
Ransom notes, scam pages and blockchain investigations contain wallet addresses buried in text. The Bitcoin Address Extractor finds all three common address formats and returns a unique list for cross-referencing with explorers and threat-intel feeds, locally in your browser. Generate test addresses with the random Bitcoin address generator.

Frequently asked questions
Are matches validated?
The prefix, alphabet and length are checked, which excludes most false positives; the checksum is not verified, so a hash that happens to use the right characters can match.
Which formats are recognised?
P2PKH (starting with 1), P2SH (3) and bech32/bech32m SegWit and Taproot addresses (bc1q, bc1p).
Are my files or data uploaded?
No. The tool is plain JavaScript that runs in your browser; the files or data you provide here are never uploaded to our servers.
