About this tool

BIMI lets a brand logo appear in the inbox, but only when the DNS record, the SVG file and the certificate are all correct. The BIMI Lookup uses the APIVoid BIMI Validator API to fetch the record, preview the SVG logo, verify that it follows the SVG Tiny PS profile, and inspect the VMC certificate: issuer, validity, days left and the registered trademark. Any issue found is listed with its severity.

BIMI requires DMARC enforcement (a DMARC policy of p=quarantine or p=reject, with pct=100). Check your domain's DMARC policy with the DMARC Lookup, and use the Email Spoof Check to assess whether your domain is vulnerable to email spoofing.

Key features of this tool

  • External lookups

The lookup runs from our infrastructure, so you see what the public internet sees without exposing your own IP address or network.

  • Fast and cached

Results come back in seconds; identical lookups are cached for a few minutes to keep the service fast and responsive for everyone.

  • Easy to reuse

Every result block can be copied with one click or downloaded as a text file, and tables can also be saved as CSV for your reports.

Frequently asked questions

What is BIMI?

Brand Indicators for Message Identification: a DNS record (default._bimi.<domain>) pointing to an SVG logo that supporting mailboxes show next to authenticated messages from the domain.

What is a VMC?

A Verified Mark Certificate proves that the logo is a registered trademark of the sender. Gmail and Apple Mail require it; some providers display logos without one.

Why is the logo not displayed?

BIMI requires DMARC with p=quarantine or p=reject and an SVG in the Tiny PS profile; the issues list points out what is missing.

What is the selector?

A label allowing several BIMI records per domain, like DKIM selectors. "default" is used unless the message specifies another one.
