About this tool
LinkedIn gives you a plain text box and cuts the post after three lines, so what you write is not quite what people see. The LinkedIn Post Preview puts an editor next to a feed-accurate card: name and headline, the "…more" fold, highlighted hashtags and mentions, an attached image, reactions and the action bar, switchable between desktop, tablet and mobile widths. Bold, italic, underline and strikethrough are applied with Unicode characters, bullet and numbered lists are inserted with the right symbols, and a one-click copy puts the finished text on your clipboard ready for LinkedIn's post box.

Key features of this tool

Name, headline, the "…more" fold after three lines, hashtag and mention highlighting, reactions and action bar, on desktop, tablet and mobile widths.
Formatting that survives
LinkedIn has no bold button, so styles are applied with Unicode letters and combining marks that paste correctly into the post box.
Private drafting
Text and image stay in your web browser; no data or files sent in this page is published or stored in our servers.
Frequently asked questions
Why does bold text look odd in some places?
Bold and italic are Unicode "mathematical" letters, the only way to style a LinkedIn post. They work in the feed but are read letter by letter by screen readers and may be ignored by search; use them for a few words, not whole paragraphs.
How long can a post be?
3,000 characters; the counter turns orange near the limit and red above it. The feed shows about three lines before "…more", so put the hook first.
Can I paste emoji and Unicode from elsewhere?
Yes, paste keeps the characters as they are, and the copy button copies plain text so LinkedIn receives exactly what you see.
Is the image uploaded?
No, it is only shown in the preview; attach it in LinkedIn when you publish.
