About this tool

Sign-up forms, CRMs and lead lists are full of numbers in every imaginable format, and some of them are not real. The Phone Number Validator normalises a number, checks that it is valid for its country, returns the national, international and E.164 formats, and adds the location, carrier and line type (mobile, landline, VoIP, toll-free) together with disposable and abusive flags useful for fraud prevention. Data comes from the APIVoid Phone Validator API.

  • Easy to reuse

Every result block can be copied with one click or downloaded as a text file, and tables can also be saved as CSV for your reports.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the country prefix?

Preferably yes (+1, +44, +39…). Without it, enter the two-letter country code so the national number can be interpreted correctly.

What is the E.164 format?

The international standard used by APIs and databases: a plus sign, the country code and the number with no spaces or punctuation, up to 15 digits.

What do disposable and abusive mean?

Disposable numbers come from temporary or virtual services often used to bypass SMS verification; abusive numbers were seen in fraud or spam activity.

Is the number stored?

No, it is validated live and not written anywhere.
