About this tool
AI image generators and modern editors attach C2PA content credentials, a signed manifest stored as JUMBF data in JPEG APP11 segments, PNG caBX chunks or WebP C2PA chunks, together with XMP and IPTC fields describing the tool and the generation process. The C2PA & AI Metadata Remover cuts those records out of PNG, JPEG and WebP files in your browser while leaving the pixels untouched, and tells you exactly what was removed.
To see the metadata first use the Image EXIF Viewer; to drop everything, including EXIF and GPS, use the Image EXIF Remover.
How to use it — quick steps
- 01
Add the images
Drop PNG, JPEG or WebP files on the dashed area or choose them from your device, up to 25 at once.
- 02
Press "Remove C2PA metadata"
JUMBF manifests, XMP packets and IPTC blocks are cut out of every file; the pixels are untouched.
- 03
Download the clean files
Every row lists what was removed and the new size; save the files one by one or all as a .zip.
Key features of this tool
C2PA, XMP and IPTC
JPEG APP11 JUMBF segments, PNG caBX chunks and WebP C2PA chunks, plus the XMP and IPTC records that carry AI provenance.
Files never leave your device
Reading, compressing and rewriting happen in your browser with the File API; nothing is uploaded to IPVoid.
Batch friendly
Up to 25 files at once, each row has its own download link and the whole batch can be saved as a .zip archive.
Frequently asked questions
What is C2PA?
The Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity standard: a signed manifest embedded in the file that records how an image was created or edited, used by AI generators such as DALL-E, Adobe Firefly and many cameras and editors.
Is EXIF removed too?
No, this tool targets provenance data only: C2PA manifests, XMP packets and IPTC/Photoshop blocks. EXIF and the ICC colour profile are kept. Use the Image EXIF Remover to strip everything.
Does the image change?
The compressed pixel data is copied unchanged, so quality and dimensions are identical; only the metadata segments disappear and the file gets smaller.
Can removed credentials be recovered?
Not from the file, but C2PA manifests may also be registered with the issuer; removing them from the file only stops the file from carrying them.
