About this tool

WebP is the modern format for web images: smaller files than JPEG and PNG at the same visual quality, with transparency and wide browser support. The Image to WebP converter re-encodes PNG and JPEG files with your browser's own encoder at the quality you choose, shows the before and after size of each file and lets you download them individually or as a .zip, without uploading anything.

How to use it — quick steps

  1. 01

    Add the images

Drop PNG or JPEG files on the dashed area or choose them from your device, up to 25 images per run.

  2. 02

    Set the quality

Drag the slider; 80-90 keeps photos visually identical while shrinking them, 100 is near-lossless.

  3. 03

    Press "Convert to WebP"

Every row shows the old and new size with the saving; download the files one by one or as a .zip.

Key features of this tool

  • Smaller than JPEG and PNG

WebP typically saves 25-35% over JPEG at the same quality and far more over PNG for photos, with transparency support.

  • Files never leave your device

Reading, compressing and rewriting happen in your browser with the File API; nothing is uploaded to IPVoid.

  • Batch friendly

Up to 25 files at once, each row has its own download link and the whole batch can be saved as a .zip archive.

Frequently asked questions

Which browsers support WebP?

All current browsers display WebP, and Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari 16+ can encode it; on an older Safari the conversion reports that WebP encoding is unavailable.

Is transparency kept?

Yes, PNG transparency is preserved in the WebP output.

Is the conversion lossy?

WebP here is lossy at the quality you choose (100 is near-lossless). Metadata such as EXIF is dropped.

Are my files or data uploaded?

No. The tool is plain JavaScript that runs in your browser; the files or data you provide here are never uploaded to our servers.
