About this tool
A border makes screenshots stand out in a document and gives photos a clean frame for print or social media. Add Borders to Images draws a solid border of the width and colour you choose around up to 25 pictures in your browser, keeps each file in its own format, and lets you download them individually or as a .zip. Nothing is uploaded.

Key features of this tool
Any width, eight colours
From a 1-pixel hairline to a 500-pixel frame, in black, white, grey or an accent colour.
Keeps the format
PNG stays PNG with transparency, JPEG and WebP are re-encoded at quality 92; the picture itself is not resized.
Files never leave your device
Reading, compressing and rewriting happen in your browser with the File API; nothing is uploaded to IPVoid.
Frequently asked questions
Is the image cropped or resized?
Neither: the border is added outside the picture, so the output is larger by twice the border width in each direction.
Can I use a custom colour?
The list covers the usual choices; tell us if you need a colour picker.
Why does the file get bigger?
The canvas is larger and the image is re-encoded; PNG stays lossless.
Are my files or data uploaded?
No. The tool is plain JavaScript that runs in your browser; the files or data you provide here are never uploaded to our servers.
