About this tool
Audio editors, samplers, phone systems and some hardware want WAV, not MP3. The MP3 to WAV converter decodes files with the browser\'s own MP3 decoder and writes standard 16-bit PCM WAV at the original sample rate, for up to 25 files at once, without uploading anything.

Frequently asked questions
Does converting to WAV improve quality?
No; the MP3 compression is already applied. WAV only stores the decoded audio losslessly, which is what editors and samplers need.
Why is the WAV so much bigger?
Uncompressed audio takes about 10 MB per minute in stereo at 44.1 kHz, roughly ten times an MP3.
Are my files or data uploaded?
No. The tool is plain JavaScript that runs in your browser; the files or data you provide here are never uploaded to our servers.
