About this tool
IP to Country is the lightweight version of the geolocation lookup: it answers one question, which country does this address belong to, and shows the ISO country code and flag prominently so the result is readable at a glance. Region, city and ISP are listed below for context.
It is handy for geo-restriction decisions, for checking where a log entry came from and for spotting sign-ups whose billing country does not match the connection. For full details, including the map and anonymity flags, use IP Geolocation.

Frequently asked questions
Is the country always correct?
Country-level geolocation is accurate for well over 95% of addresses. Exceptions are satellite links, VPN exits and a few multinational providers that announce one block in several countries.
What is the country code?
The ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code, such as US, DE or JP, the same two letters used in country-code domains and most APIs.
How can I get this for many IPs?
The APIVoid IP Reputation API returns the same fields in JSON and can be called in bulk from your own scripts.
